This 30 minute class gives runners the opportunity to experience how yoga, when used as part of training, nets faster, smarter and more injury resistant athletes. Runners bring special challenges to the yoga table. Over time, running can cause physical imbalances (i.e. over developed quads, tight hamstrings,) which can result in injury (i.e. IT band, knees, hips, shoulders…) if not addressed. Yoga works the muscles and joints through all ranges of motion to create balance, stability, core strength and flexibility.
Flow & Yin provides the perfect blend of a Vinyasa Flow with a Restorative Yin practice. We start with an energizing Flow sequence to strengthen the muscular tissues and bring heat to the body. The class ends with a grounding Yin sequence that provides deep stretching in the shoulders, hips, ...
Power Flow is a step up from our regular Flow class. It incorporates more challenging postures such as creative standing poses, arm balances and inversions. Modifications and variations are offered for all poses so that the intensity and challenge is up to you. Power, Sweat, Fly!
